Thanks to Yvette !!! T9 Needle's Point SAMPLE

Foundation prints to scale

PP in one piece...impossible
Machine pieced only, no reverse applique 10 pieces
Like homework and housework, it takes longer to do it when you avoid it.  So this SIMPLE looking block took me longer than it should have since I didn't want to reverse applique.  Machine PP for me :)

Triangle solution

Today the Dear Jane CD disappoints me since I don't think EQ is user friendly, that is I have not spend my time learning (playing with) it.  So for now I will trace foundation pieces from book and rotary cut when possible.

Why do a sample first ?

compare these photos

CD foundation printed out does not match book...confusing to say the least.  Must find out why.  So this is why I am doing samples first.

T2 Australian Pines

A4 Courtney's Stethoscope SAMPLE

Measure many times before you square up!  The inner part was supposed to be squared to 4.5 inches.  Actual cut was 4.5 X 4 inches.   OMGoodness   I taped it to the wall and FUSSED and FUSSED.  I did not want to remake this block since I had been playing with it all afternoon.  REDO:  square to 3.75 inches, increase outer strips.  Not exactly pattern but it works, thankfully!

A3 Hunter's Moon SAMPLE

Looks good from a distance BUT ... since I am not a hand applique person, these type blocks will be digitized on Masterworks.  This sample will get some decorative stitches when I get my Ellegante back from servicing.

A2 One Two Buckle My Shoe SAMPLE

A little ripping but looks nice

Let the blocks begin

I received my first BOM package from Stitchin' Heaven.  It is a 24 month block of the month  program where they send fabric and instructions for 10 blocks. Since it's getting close to the end of the month, I must get busy ... the second months' blocks will be here before I turn around.  This upcoming week I will post my progress.  Thank you Jane Sickle and Brenda Papadakis for the challenge.
